Taste
Blackcurrant is a small, black berry that grows on bushes and has a strong, aromatic flavour. It grows to about 10 mm in diameter and is related to currants.

Origin
Blackcurrant bushes grow wild in Central and Northern Europe, and were first cultivated here in the 17th century.

Season
In Denmark, blackcurrants are in season from June to August, but they are imported from abroad all year round.

Good for
