Taste
The grapefruit is a citrus fruit that is slightly larger than the orange. Its taste depends on the climate in which it is grown and can be sour, sweet and slightly bitter.

Origin
Historically, grapefruit began to be grown in Europe in the early 1900s. Today, they are grown in countries around the Mediterranean, as well as in Florida, Brazil, Mexico and southern Africa.

Season
Grapefruit is imported into Denmark throughout the year.

Good for
You can enjoy the grapefruit fresh, or prepared in jams, for example.
