Taste
The nectarine is closely related to the peach and is incredibly juicy and rich in sweetness. The flesh is yellowish, while the skin is smooth and reddish in colour with a yellow tinge.

Origin
The nectarine has been cultivated in China for several thousand years, while in the 1500s it arrived in England, among other countries, via the ancient caravan routes.

Season
The nectarine is in season from May to September, when it is imported into Denmark.

Good for
You can enjoy the nectarine fresh, but it is also good in desserts, salads and compotes.
