Rose hips are the fruit of wild roses and consist of soft flesh surrounded by small, hard nuts.
Origin
Wrinkled Rose is the most widespread rose hip variety in Denmark, and it originates from Asia.
Season
The season for hips runs from June to July, but they can be harvested in the autumn after the first frost.
Good for
You can use rose hips in jams, soups and juices, and they can also be cooked, pureed and frozen.
