Taste
Ginger is known for its characteristic, slightly pungent and spicy taste. While the young ginger roots are juicy and mild in flavour, the older roots are drier and their juice is stronger.

Origin
Originally from Asia, ginger has been used in India and China for more than 3000 years.

Season
Ginger is imported all year round to Denmark.

Good for
Fresh ginger root can be grated or finely chopped and used in Asian dishes, while ginger is also great in chutneys, sauces and marinades.
