Taste
The mandarin has a lovely sweet taste and the rind is slightly darker and more orange in colour than the clementine.
Origin
The mandarin fruit originates from China, where it has been cultivated for over 3000 years. It was not until the 1900s that it became known throughout the world.
Season
In Denmark we import mandarins from November to January.
Good for
With its sweet taste, the mandarin is great for jams, cakes and salads.
