About the raw material
Taste
Mango is a stone fruit that can vary a lot in size. The flesh is yellow and incredibly aromatic.
Origin
The mango originated in India but is now grown in almost all tropical and subtropical countries. In Denmark we get them mainly from South America and Africa.
Season
Mangoes are picked all year round, ripening during transport. Thus, they are imported to Denmark throughout the year.
Good for
You can use mango in fruit salad, chutney and jam as well as in Asian dishes.
