The blackcurrant jam from Skælskør Frugtplantage® has a fresh and slightly tart taste of dark blackcurrants from late summer. With its intense flavour, the blackcurrant jam is incredibly suitable on top of cheese or in delicious baked goods. The jam is sold in a handy 265 g jar size, which is perfect for smaller households or for families who want several different jam varieties at home.
- Tastes great on a freshly baked bun or crispbread
- Try stirring it into homemade vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips
- Great in a portion of warm oatmeal.

Taste
Blackcurrant is a small, black berry that grows on bushes and has a strong, aromatic flavour. It grows to about 10 mm in diameter and is related to currants.
Origin
Blackcurrant bushes grow wild in Central and Northern Europe, and were first cultivated here in the 17th century.
Season
In Denmark, blackcurrants are in season from June to August, but they are imported from abroad all year round.
Good for
