Apple strudel

  • 300 g wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ dl cold water
  • 100 g melted butter
  • 50 g melted butter for rolling out
  • 200 g raisins
  • 750 g Skælskør Frugtplantage® Apple Porridge
  • 3 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 75 g breadcrumbs
  • Icing sugar, whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on the side


1. Wheat flour, eggs, water and melted butter are combined to a uniform dough, kneaded well and put in the fridge for min. 30 minutes.

2. Divide the dough into two and roll each out very thinly. If necessary, use two pieces of baking paper or floured tea towels.

3. Brush the dough pieces with melted butter. Save some for brushing before baking.

4. Spread the apple sauce evenly on the rolled out dough - but not all the way to the edge on one long side.

5. Sprinkle with raisins, cinnamon and breadcrumbs.

6. Now roll the dough into a roulade and place it on a plate with the seam facing down. Brush with the last of the butter.

7. Bake the cake at 200 degrees for about 30 minutes.

8. Serve warm and sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.

TIP: As an easy option, filo dough can be used instead of making the dough yourself.
