Tapas time

When dessert is to round off the other courses, it's a good idea to serve kagetapas, with a variety of small desserts that complement each other and provide exciting flavours.

Based on jams and fruit porridge from Skælskør Frugtplantage®, you can find recipes for cakes and desserts in mini format - so there is room to taste several different kinds.

  • Kagetapas with small cakes and mini desserts are perfect to end a nice summer evening.
  • Why choose when you can make many different small cakes and desserts instead of one?
  • For example, add some cheese and jam, bread or biscuits, and make a few different cakes - you'll have something for everyone.

Tapas time is fun time

Kagetapas are the ultimate treat for your guests with their variety of flavours.

Choose the cakes you want to serve and combine them with fresh berries and fruit, for example.

Most of the desserts can be prepared in advance, so it's easy to serve them as a nice end to tapas time.

What is tapas?

Did you know that tapas originally means lid in Spanish? It is believed that the word's use in connection with food originated in Andalusia. Here, thin bread or ham was used as a lid on glasses to keep insects out of the sherry.

Small dishes - big taste

The Spanish equivalent of Creme brulé is called Crema Catalana and is a smooth cream flavoured with orange and cinnamon, and topped with a crunchy layer of cane sugar.

Serve with raspberry jam and fresh berries - a sweet, soft and creamy end to lovely tapas time.
