Southern Jutland apple slices with prune porridge

1. Boil the milk and dissolve the yeast in it.

2. Beat the egg yolks and sugar until white and fluffy.

3. Add the yeast mixture and the wheat flour, stirring thoroughly.

4. Melt 75 g butter and mix it into the dough.

5. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them gently into the dough.

6. Let the dough rise for about 30 minutes.

7. Heat the apple pan and put a little butter in each hole.

8. Fill the holes 2/3 with dough and let them bake for a moment before putting a spoonful of prune porridge in each apple slice.

9. Turn the apple slices as they set and rise at the edges.

10. Serve with icing sugar and a good jam.
