Carnival buns

Ingredients

  • Water pastries:
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 dl water
  • 100 g wheat flour
  • ½ tbsp. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • Cream:
  • 2 dl whipping cream
  • 2 dl Skælskør Fruit Plantation Dessert Cream with vanilla flavour
  • 1 dl Skælskør Fruit Plantation Organic Raspberry Jam
  • Glaze:
  • 1 dl icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp. Skælskør Fruit Plantation Organic Raspberry Jam
  • If necessary, a little water

Preparation

1. Put the water and butter in a pan and boil until the butter is melted.

2. Take the pan off the heat and whisk in the wheat flour and sugar.

3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, removing any lumps.

4. Let the dough cool a little and put it in a piping bag. Then pipe the dough into 8 "balls" on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

5. Bake them in the oven at 190°C for about 30 minutes - remember not to open the oven door until they are baked.

6. Let the water trays cool on a wire rack.

7. Place the whipping cream in a bowl and whip until foamy.

8. Add the vanilla-flavoured Skælskør Dessert Cream and whisk until creamy. Gently fold in the raspberry jam.

9. Cut the tops off the water trays and fill with the cream.

10. Mix a glaze of icing sugar and raspberry jam, adding a little water if necessary until the consistency is right.

11. Decorate with raspberry glaze on top of the carnival buns.
