The blackcurrant jam from Skælskør Frugtplantage® has a fresh and mild taste of late summer's tart blackcurrants. With its intense flavour from the dark berries, the jam goes incredibly well with all kinds of cheeses and is therefore perfect for the cheese table. Try it also in a yoghurt trifle, with desserts or on top of a portion of warm oatmeal.

Blackcurrant
Taste
Blackcurrant is a small, black berry that grows on bushes and has a strong, aromatic flavour. It grows to about 10 mm in diameter and is related to currants.
Origin
Blackcurrant bushes grow wild in Central and Northern Europe, and were first cultivated here in the 17th century.
Season
In Denmark, blackcurrants are in season from June to August, but they are imported from abroad all year round.
Good for
