Ribs jelly from Skælskør Frugtplantage®. Currant jelly is one of the classic forms of jelly, and especially at Christmas time it is popular. The jelly is carefully made from the best ingredients, and has a fresh and tangy taste that makes it extremely suitable both as an accompaniment to heavy autumn dishes and wonderful summer dishes such as grilled chicken roast.

Taste
Ribs are small, round berries that grow on bushes where they sit in small clusters. They can be red, yellow or white, with the red berries often being fresher and more tart in flavour than the white.
Origin
Currants are originally a wild berry that has been used in cooking in Denmark for centuries.
Season
In Denmark, currants are in season from July to August, but they are imported from abroad all year round.
